EyeSoar
highlights the landscapes near 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive, an industrial neighborhood that spans across Nelson Street, the footbridge and Jennie Dean Park and curves around to South Oakland Street. This site draws bike path and recreation users, footbridge traffic and individuals to the auto repair shops, the Shirlington Dog Park, AFAC, New District, and other businesses.This project brings awareness of the physical location and engages people through audio and video interviews.  Interviewees include Charles Meng, Executive Director of Arlington Food Assistance Center, founder Don Zientara of Inner Ear Studio, Mike Katrivanos of New District Brewing Company and other business owners and residents of the neighborhood

The program includes excerpts from Barrier which merges comments from scientists, hobbyists and naturalists about flight, migration and climate.  People — like animals — move to react to a push or pull in their natural habitats. As we confront climate change, JFD invites audiences to experience the real, personal journeys of the people and ecosystems in our midst.

Guests NextReflex Dance Collective perform on May 4 plus Composition class presents a new work choreographed and performed by Elisa Kosarin,  Robbie Namy, Sherri Waas Shenfunthal.
On May 11 Emily Crews of Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble reveals a new work for Forty+.
